A couple weeks ago, I realized I wasn’t quite finished with the NH portion of my LifeQuest. One trail remained – Mooseway, a trail open only in winter, located within the Pondicherry Unit of NH’s Silvio O. Conte National Wildlife Refuge.
I am still burnt-out of hiking steep mountain trails in snowshoes, but Mooseway is flat, short (1.4 miles one-way), and enjoyable. Also, I had excellent company. Joanna, a friend from MA, joined me in the woods for her first ever snowshoe hike. We had a great time appreciating the scenery and each other’s company on this warm and sunny winter day.
