New England Trail 2022 (thruhike)
Ice Age Trail 2024 – eastern terminus to Rosholt, starting with this post
Ice Age Trail 2025 – Rosholt through Mondeaux Esker (WEBO), starting with this post
Natchez Trace Trail 2025 – Potkopinu, Rocky Springs, and Yockanookany segments, Black Prairie segment, Highland Rim segment. Note, the rules for a Natchez Trace thruhike as defined by the NPS do not require hiking the Parkway to connect segments, so I did not hike the Parkway. I do, however, hike roads to connect segments for all the other National Scenic Trails, because the rules for all the other trails do require walking connecting routes.

I changed my own rules in July 2026. I don’t think my body appreciates very long distance backpacking. See my posts in North Country Trail, VT for more details. So from now on, I will do 100 miles of each NST in each of its states. If there are fewer than 100 miles of the NST in a state then I will do half the miles in that state. This gives me options. The exception is the Ice Age Trail, which I will finish in fall of 2026
