April 11, 2026. Back in New York state. Will be here for a couple of weeks before heading off for some more international travel.
Spent last week in the Boston area having every routine medical procedure possible. I like to get it all done at once. Everything’s good, though I need to get a dental crown replaced at some point. My lingering knee issue is due to an extremely tight IT band. That leg really went through hell on the AT. Some fluid is in the knee, but it should go away on its own (slowly). Will do a bunch of PT exercises.
Stopped by Great Thicket National Wildlife Refuge on my way to this week’s NY lodging. This NWR is a small area which “maintains shrublands.” Less than two miles of hiking available, but it was a nice walk in the shrubbery. Encountered no Knights who said, “Ni!”
