Dells of the Eau Claire is a gorgeous 2.6-mile walk along the Eau Claire River and Dells.
Next came a 3.5 roadwalk on dirt/gravel and with a bunch of little ups and downs.
Plover River segment is 5.7 miles of field and forest ambling. There’s a section by the river with lots of rocks and roots to step on/over. Almost stepped on a snake!
I am currently carrying my new backpack, but it is not at full weight. Still need to add seven or eight pounds to it. I am building my strength up slowly. My back hurt a little at the end of the hike today, so I will proceed with caution.
