Ice Age Trail, East Lake and Rib Lake segments, April 30, 2025.

14.1 miles.

Began the day by biking over 12 miles and almost getting smushed by a massive truck. Thanks for coming within two inches of hitting me, dude.

East Lake and Rib Lake have plenty of bridges, so no crazy water crossings today. Lovely sections, both of them, though East Lake had lots of ups and downs I hadn’t quite expected. Found a bench dedicated to Arlette Laan near the east end of the segment – cool! I snapped a photo and tagged her in my Stories.

Rib Lake had a ton of intersecting cross-country ski trails, information signs about logging history and the forest in general, and benches.

I was really tired when I made it back to the car. The combination of biking and hiking wipes me out.
