February 12, 2025. It’s been raining the last few days, so I have not yet finished the Natchez Trace Trail. Instead of hiking in the rain, today I went to the Tennessee State Museum. The museum is thorough and covers Native Americans, the removal of Native Americans by white colonists, the Civil War, Reconstruction, post-Reconstruction, etc. I felt like I’d already learned most of all that from the information signs along the Natchez Trace Trail. I did particularly like the section on music; it was really nice to see one of Dolly Parton‘s outfits and one of Tina Turner‘s outfits.
The museum has a ton of exhibits, but I didn’t take very many photos today.
Looking forward to getting back on the Trace soon and finishing up the trail and the Parkway.
